With more than 25 years of experience in similar roles, Arantxa has built an extensive career in multinational environments and highly complex organizations, where she has led financial transformation processes, resource optimization initiatives and data governance projects. Throughout her career, she has held senior leadership positions in areas such as financial planning, management control, M&A and investor relations, consistently providing a strategic vision aligned with sustainable business growth.
With more than 4,600 employees across 24 countries in Europe, Asia and the Americas, and partners in key sectors such as financial services, insurance, energy, retail, public administration and telecommunications, among others, VASS begins 2026 with a clear commitment to advancing its growth plan. This plan is particularly focused on the company’s international development in the coming years, where Arantxa will play a key role alongside José Pérez Melber, CEO of VASS.
International experience and a leading financial profile
Arantxa Sáinz de Baranda spent most of her career at Maxam, the Spanish leader in the manufacturing of civil explosives, where she served as CFO of its main business unit. There, she was responsible for leading an ambitious transformation and internationalization process that enabled the company to reach revenues of €1.2 million.
In addition, over the past six years she has worked as CFO in private equity–backed companies, collaborating closely with investors and executive teams on value creation projects.
