The Jungle Clicks is an initiative developed by VASS Foundation in collaboration with Coloria and with the support of Aprender a Mirar Foundation.
The project was created to encourage children to build a positive, thoughtful, and responsible relationship with technology from an early age.
This journey begins with an open-ended storybook — a tale without a final chapter — that invites children to reflect on the digital world’s opportunities and challenges. It encourages them to imagine, learn, and write their own path in an increasingly connected world.
The project also features an animated short film that brings the story to life in an accessible and engaging format. Both the book and the film are designed to be inclusive, with an easy-to-read version available for people with intellectual disabilities, and promote key values such as digital autonomy, respectful online behavior, and mindful technology use.
The Jungle Clicks gives children the chance to see technology not as something distant or intimidating, but as a tool they can understand, enjoy, and use confidently and responsibly.
As a foundation that’s part of a global technology, VASS Foundation brings a unique perspective to digital education. We believe that technology doesn’t just support learning — it helps shape it. That’s why we’re committed to fostering digital literacy that is conscious, inclusive, and responsible.
This commitment aligns with our mission to bring technology closer to underserved communities and provide them with the tools they need to grow in an increasingly digital world.
Educating people about how to use digital tools is just as important as ensuring access to them. Our experience shows that introducing children early on to the ethical, critical,
and mindful use of technology doesn’t just empower individuals — it contributes to a stronger, more equitable digital society.
At VASS Foundation, we work to ensure that everyone, especially those from vulnerable backgrounds, has the opportunity to develop their digital potential. We believe talent may not be evenly distributed, even if the opportunities to develop it are not. That’s why education and applied research are at the core of what we do, helping to build critical thinking and continuous learning across communities.
With initiatives like The Jungle Clicks, we take that mission to the very beginning of the learning journey — showing that technology can start with a story, a blank page… and a child’s imagination.
