Miravia acquires a 20% Stake

For VASS, Miravia's investment marks a milestone for the group and opens up new opportunities for brands and sellers.

Madrid, September 13, 2024. – vdSHOP, one of the leading companies in Spain specializing in direct-to-consumer e-commerce platforms, has completed a transaction with Miravia, a new e-commerce model in Spain that connects brands, consumers and content creators in the same digital space, and operates as a Subsidiary of Alibaba International Business. Miravia now holds a 20% stake in vdSHOP following the transaction. The deal is Miravia's first in the country since its launch in December 2022. 

 

With this corporate operation, Miravia and VdShop reinforce their alliance and the existing synergies between both companies, although the Spanish company had already been offering its services to several brands present in the e-commerce platform, helping them with the creation of product sites, the definition of their sales strategies and tactics, and after-sales service operations, to mention just a few.

 

Miravia strengthens its value proposition to both Spanish and international brands that want to sell in Spain through the platform, as vdSHOP has a unique ability to offer comprehensive support services based on three key pillars: its own technology platform KAIMAN, which facilitates the sales process flexibly way, a team specialized in retail and e-commerce that drives sales in digital channels and a wide range of integrated services ranging from storage and shipping to customer service, marketing, legal advice, billing and technology.

Miravia, a unique shopping and entertainment destination

Miravia is a new e-commerce initiative launched in Spain that provides consumers with an alternative shopping experience, connecting brands, shoppers and content creators under one digital roof.

It is a new e-commerce platform for shopping and entertainment that offers a range of product categories to meet the daily needs and desires of its consumers. To do so, Miravia features iconic global brands and large and small Spanish brands, covering a wide range of categories, but with a focus on lifestyle: fashion, beauty, and health.  

Miravia's value proposition is completed with the possibility for brands and retailers to open and manage their own stores on the platform with the freedom to customize them, select their offer, define their own prices and promotions, interact directly with their customers and implement in-store loyalty programs.

Since its launch in December 2022, it has managed to attract a total of 10,000 national and international brands, of which more than 800 have opened their own stores on the platform. The marketplace currently offers more than 12 million products.
