Serbatic Zamora, the ICT company that develops first class international digital projects from Castilla y León and promotes local talent.

Zamora, November 24, 2021.- Serbatic Zamora, one of the VASS Group companies specialized in the efficient provision of ICT services to large companies, has received this morning the visit of an institutional delegation formed by different authorities of Castilla y León to learn first-hand about its drive for local talent, as, since its implementation in this city in June 2019, it has increased its workforce of professionals by 300%.

Specifically, the following authorities visited the headquarters of Serbatic Zamora: the Deputy Minister of Employment and Social Dialogue, David Martín; the manager of the Public Employment Service of Castilla y León (ECYL), José Antonio Bartolomé; the Director-General of Vocational Training, Special Regime and Educational Equity, Agustín Francisco Sigüenza; the Councillor for Tourism and Trade of the City of Zamora, Christoph Strieder; as well as the President and Secretary-General of the Chamber of Commerce of Zamora, Enrique Oli.

On behalf of Serbatic, Jorge González Herrero, general manager; Eduardo Lorente, VASS business development manager, and Álvaro González, operations manager, welcomed their guests.

They all valued Serbatic Zamora’s commitment to innovation, local talent, and quality employment in Castilla y León. There are already around 70 professionals highly specialized in the latest technologies who can develop their professional careers in a multinational company without leaving their city, province, or autonomous community. The latest incorporations took place just a month ago when 11 young talents joined the staff after training.

“Today, we have reasons to celebrate. Serbatic began its journey in Zamora in 2019 with 13 employees, and today there are about 70 people. They are young professionals who are going to be able to develop their professional career in Zamora and will not have to leave our community to earn a living,” said David Martín, Deputy Minister of Employment and Social Dialogue.

Meanwhile, José Antonio Bartolomé, manager of the Public Employment Service of Castilla y León (ECYL), celebrated that “today a powerful collaboration project begins between the public employment service and Grupo VASS”, stressing that the example of Serbatic “shows that small cities like Zamora can take on this type of challenge”.

Also Christoph Strieder, Councilor for Tourism and Commerce of the City Council, stressed that “it is a great joy to have young people developing their projects here and maintaining the attractiveness of our city, getting Zamora to offer much more apart from its great quality of life”.

A successful company

Serbatic Zamora has become a fundamental piece in the ability to execute projects and services thanks to the fact that its professionals are highly specialized in both cutting-edge and uncommon digital transformation technologies as well as more traditional ones (SAP, .NET, Cobol or Java). In addition, since 2019, this company replicates the successful model of Serbatic Cuenca, officially opened in 2017 and recognized by the Junta de Castilla-La Mancha as the best job-creating company in 2018.

Serbatic Zamora is also a clear example of collaboration between institutions, as the project would not have been possible without the help and support of both the Official Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services of Zamora and the Polytechnic University School – Campus Viriato in Zamora (University of Salamanca) and the Claudio Moyano High School in Zamora and Los Sauces High School in Benavente.

For all these reasons, Jorge González Herrero, general manager of Sebatic, emphasized that “Serbatic Zamora today has first level clients such as Redsys, Evo, Santander or Unicaja, which has allowed the teams to evolve a lot in a short time, going from being junior programmers to qualified professionals in software development without moving from their autonomous community”.

Since its establishment in Zamora in June 2019, Serbatic has increased its professional staff by 300%. During this Wednesday morning, an institutional delegation led by the Deputy Minister of Employment and Social Dialogue of the Junta de Castilla y León, David Martín, learned first-hand about Serbatic’s commitment to innovation, local talent and quality employment in the community.
