Sonia Torres, new Global Head of Insurance at VASS

Sonia Torres has been appointed new Global Director of Insurance at VASS. Torres will lead the value proposition of VASS in the insurance market, as well as its expansion and consolidation in the different territories it is present. 

Also stating that “the insurance sector is embarking on a new year of growth by reinventing its business and operating model to put sustainability at the epicentre of its strategy; the success of this transformation lies in knowing how to value new technologies and innovation, where VASS is a benchmark”.

Sonia Torres holds a degree in Business Administration and Management as well as a degree in Economics, as well as several specialised degrees in digital transformation, behavioural economics and finance from various business schools such as Insead, IMD, Harvard and London School of Economics. Prior to joining VASS, Torres held executive and Management Committee positions for more than 11 years in the Marketing and Business Development area at VidaCaixa, the insurance group of CaixaBank, as well as in the Zurich Group, in the Joint Venture with Banc Sabadell.
