In 2024, Intercredit Bank, a well-established financial institution based in Miami, launched Pibank USA: a direct banking solution featuring a high-yield savings product with some of the best rates in the market. With no fees, FDIC insurance, and designed for today’s connected consumer.

The project was built on the success achieved in Spain and Colombia, entering one of the most competitive banking markets in the world: the United States.

The challenge

Pibank USA faced a unique challenge: entering the U.S. banking market with a 100% digital, mobile-first proposition that could meet strict local regulations while also delivering the agile and transparent experience customers expect from a fintech.

The complexity was heightened because, in addition to creating a regulation-compliant bank, it was necessary to automate key processes and ensure operational consistency across regions, despite working with different core banking systems in each country.
