On Thursday 6 October 2022, VASS joined forces with 200+ walkers for a 25KM Thames Bridge Trek in London organised by Revolent Group to help raise a target of £45,000 for three incredible charities, Mind, Pancreatic Cancer UK and St Martin’s School.
Starting at Revolent’s office in the City, our team, made up of colleagues from VASS UK and our partners at Slack and Salesforce embarked on a trek that crossed 11 bridges over the Thames before returning in the opposite direction, taking in many of the historical landmarks and bridges alongside the iconic London river.
This money raised be split evenly between three amazing causes.
- Mind is a mental health charity that offers advice and support to anyone struggling, as well as being advocates for raising awareness and understanding of something that affects one in four people every year.
- Pancreatic Cancer UK is aiming to change the future for everyone that experiences pancreatic cancer. They’re working with world-leading researchers and people affected by the disease, in order to transform and save lives.
- St. Martin’s School in Kenya is situated in Kibagare, one of the poorest slums in Nairobi. The school offers children a safe environment where they can eat, learn, and play, empowering them to build a better future.
Thank you to everybody that supported us and donated to the Giving Wheel, the event helped raised over £45,000 for the three charities.
